Last updated: October 24, 2026
We respect your privacy. This page explains transparently what data we process when you use Circuit Simulator, why it is needed, and how we protect it.
1. Data We Collect
We follow data minimisation principles (collecting only what is strictly necessary for the application to function):
- Google Account Data: Your full name, email address, and unique Google account ID (Google sub ID) sent when you choose to sign in with Google.
- Circuit & Workspace Data: Electronic circuit schematics, project names, and canvas settings you save in your workspace.
- Technical & Security Data: Connection IP addresses processed temporarily for DoS defense and rate limiting.
- What We Do NOT Collect: We never access your contacts, Google Drive files, GPS location, or device microphone/camera.
2. How We Use Data
Your information is only used for the following purposes:
- To authenticate and identify you so your circuit workspace can be reloaded when you sign in.
- To save schematic circuits and share links you intentionally create.
- To safeguard system security and prevent server resource abuse.
3. Data Storage & Security
All account and circuit data is stored in our self-hosted PostgreSQL database on a private virtual server (VPS) with encrypted connections. We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties or advertising networks. We use no third-party tracking cookies or invasive analytics tools.
4. Student & Learner Users
Circuit Simulator is designed to be friendly for school and university students. We do not profile minors for advertising and facilitate no financial transactions within the platform.
5. User Rights & Account Deletion
You have full rights to inspect your data or request deletion of your account and all saved circuit projects. To request account deletion, contact our team via email below:
